Voice chat breaking while on MOTO #5850

Describe the bug Upon using a MOTO unit for a prolonged pursuit for about 10+ minutes, the MOTO unit voice chat will completely break. He won't be heard over radio nor even through the in-game voice chat. The only fix for that is restarting the game. /fix_voice or turning voice chat off and on did not help.

I'd confidently say this happens every time there's a 10+ minute pursuit with moto primary.

I'm not sure if it's related to bikes specifically or if it's related to the constant usage of using radio while swapping between voice grids at high speeds. But I've been told the same issue also happens for AIR-1.

This forces us to use the 'Discord dispatch' at times otherwise the main pursuing units cannot relay any information.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Be on MOTO / in AIR-1
  2. Pursue at high speeds
  3. High usage of radio PTT for comms
  4. People stop hearing you

I'm sure /fix_voice won't help when the command doesn't exist...

No useful info like the rest, try not using Voicemeter, who knows.

Well, the hint for /fix_voice is there when you start typing it. I wouldn't know that it was removed :)

This is an issue for everyone who deploys moto. Not just myself. And is very often spoken about in pd-discussion. It has become 'common knowledge' between PD members that this happens.

I don't see what other information we can provide you with, past logs and telling you exactly when it does happen. Everytime MOTO pursues at around the 160+MPH and take primary for comms.

Please let us know with what we can do to help debug the issue rather than disregarding it. It's incredibly annoying and frustrating to everyone who pulls out moto or air-1...

I will add that I've double checked with two other LEOs - Bell and Michael - and confirmed they are in fact not using Voicemeeter (I do) and yet face the same issue every time they're on moto. It's very easy to reproduce on shift, happens every day...

Well high-fives all around then as I have no clue about this issue, what's causing it or have any inclination as to where to start to even debug such issue, I can't tell you something I don't know, I can't fix something that I can't reproduce.

If I had some reasonable information to assist in this issue I'm most positive I would've said it 4 issues ago when it first appeared, to which I'm still none the wiser with no more information than when it originated. I'm not 'disregarding' issues because I enjoy it, I aim to fix everything that's ever been posted in here, which you of all people have evidently seen from joining this community.

It's incredibly annoying and frustrating to everyone who pulls out moto or air-1...

My apologies for the hindrance you're experiencing from this issue I currently cannot resolve.

I apologize if I came across more blunt than I intended. I also did not realize at the time I created the issue that there have been multiple previous issues opened regarding this in the past. I was just told that it's been an issue for a while. If at any point would there be anything we as PD community can do to help debug/reproduce etc., please let us know, we'd be happy to help!

A few things that may be of use to you:

When MOTO voice breaks, this is seen in the F8 logs (will be the F8 image) image

When we can no longer hear sirens, radio noises and horns this is also the case, will attach F8 full log CitizenFX_log_2023-06-11T230036.log

Forgot to mention, only occurs after 2+ hours on shift. First that goes is sirens, when u try and activate them, u hear the same click as u do with menus. But the siren will not play. If you use the key R version of sirens, these will continue to work for a few minutes. Next to go is horns, when the sirens go, horns will go with it. Finally is radio beeps and tones. Last thing to go. BCSO shift lasted for around 3-7 hours today, with me reaching the end of the radio.
