Individuals in Dispatch and other Encrypted Channels not being able to hear those in the channels. #5971

Describe the bug Whilst in dispatch or the other encrypted channels with a large number of people, some individuals will be unable to hear others in the radio channel. It seems to happen consistently when Air-1 is pulled or during bigger situations like 60s or the UD. Some people are able to hear perfectly fine while others are completely unable to hear dispatch. This happened to me during a swat operation as of 12/07/2023 at around 3:30 am BST. I was unable to hear the majority of dispatch with only certain people coming through.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Be in the encrypted whitelist channels for PD, EMS, or BCSO
  2. Have 15-20 plus people in said channels
  3. Have consistent pursuit comms or comms of any type
  4. A number of people should have the issue then.

Screenshot/Video N/A

Additional context This happens frequently with PD and BCSO. It tends to affect people at random. Sometimes I will not be able to hear and sometimes I am the only one to be able to hear.

Client Log OR Error Screenshot (This is the main line in the F8 logs when this happens.)

CrBrowserMain/ Blocked attempt to create a WebMediaPlayer as there are too many WebMediaPlayers already in existence. See crbug.com/1144736#c27 (@highlife_nui/html/index.html:0)

Full log from 12/07/2023 at around 3:30 am BST will be attached below. The last 20 percent or so of the file is mostly just this above log.

I can confirm this does not just happens in encrypted channels. We have the same problems when we are in a allies radio chat and can not hear multiple people. if we have many players.

I agree with Moxey, Radios have been like this ever since they have been put into city. With the radio being the replacement for discord, they are the main source of communication. With Radios bugging players will also not be able to hear each other when players are next to each other. When radios bug with PD/EMS/BCSO they are able to switch to discord dispatch, but for normal people they aren't able to because they are not trusted which causes a lot of situations to die off!

Hi, The fix today did not work. Thanks for continue trying to fix this issues. I will try and get more evidence next time I am in a large general radio.

Any time there is lots of people on any radio people stop hearing eachother. This happens on a daily basis multiple times a day, I only play as crim so its not an encrypted channel issue just the radios not being able to support lots of people.

Can confirm still bugging infrequently. I have attached my log if that helps.

Some background info: Comms were in dispatch. There were 17 people total in dispatch at the time of the radios cutting.

This happened approximately 42 minutes and 55 seconds after being clocked in. CitizenFX_log_2023-10-18T042859.log

I believe the root of the issue is not the radio, it's the voicechat system. In all of the cases i've had my radio stop working, my voicechat stopped working as well. As frequently posted already, this usually happens when driving/flying fast. Think of MOTO, AIR-1 (or even civilian heli's) as vehicles that you could use that would be the easiest to reproduce it.

In all cases that my radio/voice broke one of the following conditions were met.

  1. Using radio while driving/being a passenger of a vehicle going fast
  2. Being in a helicopter, be that civilian/LEO (while using radio's as well)
  3. Having a performance lag spike, after this low performance spike my voice chat always breaks

I get that it's frustrating no one has been able to give any pointers to what could be the cause of the issue, but hopefully by attempting to reproduce the steps you're able to find out what causes this issue.

Too add a comment to this:

A common bug is being unable to hear the radio chirps, sirens and other media player sounds. When this happens for me, radios break soon after. And im un able to hear any sort of comms from anyone.

E.g a situation yesterday with my processing in the cells and being called by multiple deputies on the radio, led to me being unable to hear them all.

In my F8 there was a "there are too many web media players in existence" error

Attempted a fix, if this happens again reopen.
