Chrono Trigger Screen Jumping #552

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get into any battle in Chrono Trigger. This will cause the screen to jump,
and in some cases, even lock-up for a split second.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the
issue on the Snes9x forum.
Have not tried it as I currently do not have access to a PC.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii.

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Latest build, auto-update.

Please provide any additional information below.

You haven't tried 4.2.2, have you? I have the original version (Super Famicom)
and it happens there.

@nintendonerd1889

I'm not quite sure what your getting at. Are asking me if I have the original
cartridge? If that's the case then yes, I do have it and it doesn't jump when
the battle menu opens.

And no I haven't tried the newest build simply because the auto-update kept
giving me errors whenever I tried updating.

It's not an error, it happens in the real game.

@ The.BlueCup, auto-update was broken :(
You'll have to manually update or use Homebrew Browser (once the latest version
appears there)

No, it doesn't. I hauled out my SNES last night and played around the same area
that was giving me the errors in the emulated version- There was no screen
jumping at all.

Don't talk to me like I'm some noob. I know what I'm talking about. I've owned
the cartridge since 1996, you don't think that I wouldn't have noticed such a
glaring problem over the years?

@dborth
Ah, I see. Guess I'll be grabbing the updated version here and now. :)
