Zip fails to extract

First of all, if you have any Haxies, InputManagers, SIMBL plugins or
similar operating system hacks installed, please remove them first, restart
the program, and make sure the bug is reproducible without them.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attempt to extract

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the extracted file is expected, failure error message reported instead

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0 alpha 1
2.0 alpha 2

Please provide any additional information below.
Extracts fine with Archive Utility
