Castlevania Circle of the Moon - Graphical error reduces frame rate, sprite rendering, tv scale settings #227

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Entering the fight with Death
2. Enter second phase of duel when Death changes forms
3. Movement by death sprite

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect rendering and frame rate to continue normally, instead image is
warped making the game difficult to play. The error occured in both normal
play and games pause menu.

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781
(http://vba-m.ngemu.com/vbam/vbacompiles/msvc2008/VisualBoyAdvance781.7z)?
If so, please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.
Unknown. Only running on Wii.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Yes version 2.1.2

Please provide any additional information below.
Initally thought this was due to the fact I had the Video Mode setting
placed on forced NTSC 480i but when switched back to automatic the error
was still sucessfully reproduced. Error only stopped after restarting Wii
loading another game and then reloading COTM.

Is this only with Circle of the Moon? Can you duplicate the problem on any
other games?

I've only experienced this on Circle of the Moon, I've played many other games
on
VBA GX with no errors of any kind. I have noticed though on ocassion VBA GX
will
crash/code dump if left sitting idle for too long, not sure what is triggering
this
which is why I've yet to file an issue.
