SMB errors with latest release

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load game from samba share, play for a while (may need to save, not sure)
2. Return to menu
3. Try loading another game, recieve smb error.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see my listing of roms to choose a different game, saw the smb
error instead. This also happened on SNES9x GX and FCEU for wii.

Does this issue occur on VBA-M
r778(http://mudlord.homebrewheaven.net/downloads/vbam_installer.exe)? If
so, please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.

What version of the product are you using?
1.06

Please provide any additional information below.
Noticed this on my inlaws wii after I set them up with this. Came home and
updated my emulator's after Christmas and had the same problem. (This was
not a problem on prior releases.)

Unfortunately "SMB loading error" appears again.

If you start the game immediately return to the menu, it works fine.
But if you play a few minutes and then go back to the menu, the SMB loading 
error
