Classic NES Metroid and Castlevania unplayable, player hardly moves #71

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load the VBA rom of Metroid 1 from the Classic NES series.
2. Press start until it responds and start a new game
3. try to move samus

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It is expected that Samus would move at a similar speed to the monsters.
Instead Samus hardly moves at all, and is like a snail. There seems to be a
lot of frame skipping, since the monsters move in big jumps (they move
smoothly on VBA-M).

Does the issue occur on the VBA-M?
No. The game works perfectly on VBA-M.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

It seems like something important is being skipped in the Wii's frame
skipping code. I don't know if this is related to the issues with Mother 3
etc. Classic NES series games tend to have different issues from other
roms.

Mother 3 issues are (quite possibly) just the Wii just not being able to keep
up,
even with frameskipping. It *might* be a matter of finding ways to improve the
performance of this emu.

I think this is different from Mother 3 then.

I just tested in VBA-M, setting the frameskip to 9. No problems whatsoever.
Samus
moves at full speed.

This bug is unique to something we are doing on the Wii version.

Also applies to Classic NES Castlevania.

"classic nes was never been playable on VBA Windows too lol"

This is 100% wrong. GBA 1748 - Classic NES Series - Metroid (UE) works just
fine in
VBA-M build 874, I suspect in previous builds also, but I didn't test.
