Boktai 1 gets interrupted with a message that the sensor is broken shortly
after I
started a new game. Boktai 2 works perfectly though.

I'm guessing you did this at night time? :-D There is no sun at night, no
matter
what the weather. Now stop cheating, and play the game the way it is meant to
be
played. :-)
If it was not night time, then make sure you are not pointing your Wiimote Del
Sol
at the ground. That also blocks sunlight.
If it still doesn't work, let me know. I haven't tested Boktai 3 much.
Yes, Boktai 1 always gives that error. The sensor is not broken, so I don't
know why
the error occurs. Maybe something to do with the real time clock.

Oh, it hadn't occurred to me that the emulator simply disables this feature at
night
to try and closely match the real cartridge. I tried Boktai 3 again in the
afternoon
and it does work perfectly! No more buggy patches that don't work in bike races
or
fail to show skylights or mess up dashing!
I suppose it'd probably be a good idea to replace the sensor setting in the
menu with
a message letting you know it's disabled when you try and use it at night so
nobody
gets confused as to why it's working.

OK, it now tells you when it is night time so you can't set the weather.
