Why/What

Guideline

  1. Due to the extreme cost around piecing together the slides the and audio files, the workflow for the final slides is slight changed
  2. I am anticipating changes to the slides but not a lot. Thus, for the final slides, please follow the next bullet point so that the video generation process is slight optimized.
  3. If you are changing an existing slide or making a new slide, add a comment below with the exact slide name. If the change involves audio, drop the file in the CS6220 Final Audio folder.
  4. I am going to copy and paste the slides into the submitted demo slide deck so I don't have to link 50+ audio files again.

  1. Generic code pointers in #59
  2. Give your branch a short and meaningful name, pull request title should be the same as your branch name
  3. Keep your pull request/commits small
  4. While working on the same issue, it is okay to have multiple branches. Second feature should be branched off first feature if there is a dependency.
  5. In the commit message, prefix the message with [#issueNumber] like [#1] easy referencing.
  6. Once a pull request is opened, check the linter and the code you submitted (under changed files tab) to make sure everything is correct
  7. After revision, please re-request review by clicking on the circle next to reviewer names
  8. If the change has to do with UI, please include screenshots of the changed UI as part of the pull request
  9. If your feature branch is stale, always rebase instead of merge.

Update: The final deadline is 12/3 at midnight according to the announcement.

Thus, the export process will be moved to 12/3 around 12pm

At this time, you are encouraged to make additional changes as you wish. Note that all changes must follow the guideline specified above to be counted in the final deliverable. Most important part is to leave a comment here on what your change is (e.g. added a new slide, modified a new slide, moved a new slide).

Any slides without audio files in the drop location might get dropped.

The export date can be moved early if everyone agrees (on a specific data/time)
