App widget cannot record on Xperia Sola with ICS

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Pressing "start recording" in the widget window just the time start flowing 
but no distance and no speed data are reported (they remain 0.0)
2. clicking on the widget and opening the "my track app" map, there is no track 
drawn however a new track is listed in the "track list" but of course without 
any spatial data, just total recording time is different from zero.
3. the only way to start recording a track is to do start a new track from the 
app interface (and thus not from the widget).

The problem was observed on Xperia Sola both before and after the Ice Cream 
Sandwich upgrade.

Not able to reproduce.
If it is still happening, can you tell me which version of My Tracks you are 
using.
