What steps will reproduce the problem?

The addon is completely broken in FF12/FF13.

What is the expected output?

To work as it is intended

What do you see instead?

Actually Firefox looks like it has two titlebars. The addon seems to operate on
a different titlebar and in that titlebar works perfectly. But FF has its
own, normal titlebar (with the app menu/caption buttons) above of the addon's
titlebar.

What version of "Hide Caption Titlebar Plus" addon are you using?

2.4.1

What version of Firefox?

Firefox Nightly 13 32-bit

On what operating system?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I have discovered a way to make HTC+ work.

I found the obsolete FF addon Hide Caption.
I installed it with HCT+,and now HCT+ works exactly as it was intended, meaning
both App Menu Button and the Windows Close,Min,Max buttons are completely
hidden without an extra titlebar.

The only problem is that this weird combination works only when i start the
browser but not when i restart it.If i restart it,HCT+ reverts back to its
broken status until i close the browser and open it normally, then it works
again properly.

I uploaded the extension in case you are interested to see what part of its
code makes HTC+ work properly.

This is the same as Issue 178, but I'll leave these in separated threads so We
can discuss here the hack you mentioned.

I've already commented there about this.

Tks!

About the Hack using old hide_caption addon:

I know that addon and, if this Issue isn't fixed sometime soon, I can do the
same in HCTP. (as an undocumented feature :-)
I've tested this approach already (uses Fx 'hidechrome' attribute) but has some
erratic behavior, but It can be used as a last resort.

Is this "hack" going to be implemented into HCT+ or is Mozilla still working on
Bug 741404?
