No SMS notification

IMPORTANT: PLEASE search the existing issues (including closed ones) for
something similar before filing a new one.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT file more duplicates of issue 3 (bluetooth
notifications not working).

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Remote Notifier service running - use bluetooth as necessary
2. text message sent to phone
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected notification on my desktop, but none appears

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version, Android 2.3

Please provide the log output if possible (from the alogcat app on android,
Show Log menu on the multiplatform client, or Console on native mac app):

no log yet.  will get one soon.

Please provide any additional information below.

Additionally, GoSMS is my text messaging client on the phone.

Nothing logged in CatLog when SMS message was received.  Phone calls register 
with no issue.  Did not submit a log since there was nothing there.

I have the same problem - using goSMS as the sms application I get no 
notifications for SMS on the AND desktop app. (Cyanogenmod 7 on Samsung Galaxy 
SII).
