When I do GPU mining it does not this, only CPU:

That is a pool or networking problem.

If that is true why does it not do it on the gpu? Same exact stratum.

I just copied and pasted the stratum from my GPU to this CPU and it still errors out. I NEVER get this error GPU mining. Are you sure you are checking correctly?

I am experiencing the same issue.

My command is:

./cpuminer -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://cryptonight.usa.nicehash.com:3355 -u 35p2upCSNYur1UFoCZMZCwwFHjP79xfKtu -p x

results:

the same thing happens to me, I have tried many pools and always the same

That error is ignorable read this thread: https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer/issues/124

That error is because your miner is not submitting enough shares before the connection times out.

Each pool has it's own timeout setting, and they can vary. I would just let your miner run on vardiff and let the pool server work it out.

If you are really concerned about this, set a static diff so that your miner sends a share at least every minute so the connection doesn't time out. The only drawback to this issue is that your miner has to start vardiff correction all over again. If this bothers you set a static diff as previously suggested.

What you should be concerned with is if the miner says "booooo" then you have a failure.
