The first two points you mention here are essentially what we previously talked about for jam 'configurations.'
Another idea would be for the driver to choose one user to act on his or her behalf and give that user full control of the stereo, while limiting the actions allowed by other clients.
That's a fantastic idea.
Another random idea (total stretch goal, not at all a priority before the software faire):
Allow non-master phones to optionally enable audio output as well. This simple change would allow multiple people to listen to the same jam at the same time in different locations. Use cases: using multiple phones with Tutti to play the same party playlist in every room of a house (rather than having to wire speaker systems together). Or, everyone listening to a shared study playlist in their rooms in a freshman dorm.
I've thought about this before and I think that it might be really hard to get the audio streams to sync up correctly between the different sets of speakers (unless we don't care about perfect synchronization).
