Multiple technical terms such as GUI, Terminal, jar file, Java etc are used without explanation of what they are. Given the reader's context (possibly non-technical event planner), this seems like an oversight, particularly in the quickstart guide. I classify this as severity.Medium because the user will have to search for these unfamiliar terms themselves to get started with the app.

Good catch! Thanks. These technical terms that you have listed out are not specific for our application, therefore we changed the severity to low.

Reason for disagreement: It is true that the issue is not specific to the app, but it represents an inconvenience for many fresh users who may not be very familiar with how they should check the java version using the terminal or cd into a directory. Therefore I think the issue should remain severity.Medium
