Relays don't activate, only LED #3

Hello, I've set up this project, but only the LEDs on the relay board are activating, not the relays themselves. The guide shows connecting the 5V and ground from the Uno board to the relay board. Do the relays need 12V to activate? How do I power the relays from the Uno board? Thanks for your help!

You're right, they do need 12V to activate.

If you are powering the Arduino from 12V through the DC barrel jack, you can easily wire the VIN pin to VCC on the relay controller, so the 12V that powers the arduino is also powering the relay controller.
