Going to Advanced Settings makes text of top buttons become blank

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.install
2.go to Advanced Settings(no need to change anything to reproduce the issue)
3.type some text in an app

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The buttons to switch between letters and numbers, and the suggestions are 
displayed as blank. Only clearing the app data can get the display back to 
correct.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
20121215-eyecandy release 81

Nexus 10, android 4.2.1 (no pb with Xperia arc s android 2.3)

Same issue here. I will add some small details which might help.

Problem occurs as soon as you enter 'Tweaks' at the very bottom of Main menu, 
you don't even have to leave it, going to 'Click for text testing' inside 
'Tweaks' already exposes the problem.

N.B. entering 'Keyboard themes > Tweaks' does not trigger the problem.

What disappears:
- top row button captions
- suggestions (the worst issue of them all)
- Home and End buttons on the utility keyboard
- button to switch to additional symbols keyboards
- all text based smileys (in long press menu)

On my side, the issue disappeared with the version before 20130501.
