Keyboard deactivates when auto brightness changes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Activate auto brightness on phone
2.Start a program that involves typing and start typing in a dark place. 
3.Shine a bright light on the phone now. ASK will automatically close while 
you're typing.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the keyboard to stay active! The result of this bug is that I've 
accidentally sent SMS and emails before I was finished (the keyboard disappears 
as I type and, not expecting that, I hit a send button instead).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version, on Jellybean

this is a test to verify this bug as I use auto brightness but I'm not seeing 
it.
