It's compatible, just with the generic microsoft bluetooth stack, you have to remove the CSR harmony software. No bluetooth audio yet though.

  1. If you have built in bluetooth, make sure it's not disabled in your bios. It needs to be enabled in the firmware but disabled in windows.

  2. If you have built in bluetooth, right click and disable it in device manager.

  3. go to DS4Windows\Virtual Bus Driver and uninstall the ScpDriver (may not be necessary)

  4. Remove your controllers from Devices and Printers

  5. In device manager, uninstall CSR Bluetooth radio's drivers; mine appeared in Blueooth Radios and USB Controllers

  6. Uninstall CSR harmony software if you installed it prior.

  7. Unplug and Replug the dongle. Check device manager. Generic Bluetooth Radio should show up.

  8. Reinstall the DS4Windows\Virtual Bus Driver.

It took me a few tries replugging and uninstalling the drivers to get it to work but once you're done you should be able to connect with windows built in bluetooth software.

Just a word of warning/notice. The version using ScpVBus driver is an old V1.4.x release of DS4Windows and it is no longer actively maintained and no new features (being like that for several years). The latest actively developed version (bug fixes, new features, ScpVBus replaced by newer ViGem driver) is Ryochan7/DS4Windows fork release. https://github.com/Jays2Kings/DS4Windows/issues/587

Anyway. If someone really want to continue to use ScpVBus driver (in some PCs it works even when ViGem driver doesn't) and this Jays2Kings old version then the instructions haywirephoenix described above are still valid. Or maybe those are still valid for Ryochan7/DS4Windows also as long ScpVBus keywords are replaced by VigEm keyword.
