Manga through Komga extension incorrectly showing 0 unread when manga has 1 unread

Steps to reproduce

1. Install Komga extension from whichever repo
2. Configure server details
3. Download a manga
4. Read all but the most recent chapter

Expected behavior

When manga has 1 chapter unread it should show as 1 chapter unread and should be visible when filtering for Unread

Actual behavior

Home screen shows 0 unread,. no badge, filtering by Unread removes manga from view

Other details

Other tachiyomi forks are ok using the same version of the same Komga extension which is why I'm opening an issue here and not on the extensions repo. Other extensions are ok, it's only Komga doing this. I've rebuilt my Komga server, reinstalled the Komga extension and cleared data for tachij2k. Same thing happens on a fresh install. Tested five different manga, all of them do the same thing.

I've done a little playing around, it seems like 1.7.3 doesn't have this issue.
