Remember window layout #709

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

This is a feature request.
Please could you implement a way for Open Hardware Monitor to remember how I
set the window, so it is organised in the same way next time I load the app?

For instance, I collapse all but the temperature (clocks, loads, volts, etc.)
when I'm using OHM, but when I re-open the app, they are expanded again.

Also, I have the graph at the bottom, and stretch it up to fill the space
created after collapsing the above mentioned stats. I have to resize this every
time too.

Kind Regards

there might probably be a big difference in program behaviour concerning
storage of window layout - when shutting down the computer the normal way - and
when shutting down the application first using the [x] button on the top right
of it's main window.
this behaviour suggests that these settings are only stored when using the [x]
button. settings are not stored at the time the settings have changed. (a
sudden system stop due to e.g. a power outage will lead to any current user
altered settings getting lost.)

Hi Alex.
The size and position of the window is remembered each time I load it.
My request was for the tree structure and the graph divider to be remembered.
I always do a File>Exit to close OHW. I don't trust windows to close things
safely when I hit shutdown.

It's less of a concern for me than before, now that I've discovered the icon
tray temps, as I just drag the graph divider up so it fills the window.
