5 years ago It may be several bugs yet because of the size of this merge, but we will try to solve as they are appearing. Short summary of changes (will be detailed in the next release):
- Support for real drone is not working as
ardroneserveris not compiling anymore. Needs a refactor. - Support for simulated turtlebot2 is no longer available from ros melodic official package installation. May need a manual installation.
- Added support for simulated turtlebot3.
- Gazebo version upgraded from v7 to v9
- IceUtil module from zeroC Ice no longer exists.
- Several dependencies version numbers upgraded.
- Modified all our gazebo plugins to be compatible with gazebo9 and the Ignition physics library.
- Refactored gazebo plugins to make them more readable.
- Support for depth cameras unstable. May need more testing and maybe some refactorization.
- All the gazebo plugins are working in the new version of the simulator.
- VisualStates tool not tested. May need some changes (https://github.com/jderobot/visualstates.git)
This PR solves the migration of the project to the Ubuntu's LTS 18.04
