Then Linux-Assistant is assuming that it is already running somewhere. Is there a window which is called Linux-Assistant on your current desktop?
Today I tried the linux-assistant command again and LO! this time a Linux-Assistant window did appear. Damn peculiar but there it is. Thanks for your reply.
Just installed Linux Assistant from its DEB file on Pop!_OS (based on Debian 22.04) and typed into a terminal:
Then it simply exits.
