There seems to be a bug in font_truetype.cls.php, line 259 (version 0.6 beta 3)

if (!in_array($glyphIndex, $gids) && isset($indexToLoc[$glyphIndex])) {

instead it should probably say

if (!in_array($glyphIndex, $gids) && isset($gidToCid[$glyphIndex])) {
