What is "Ability to bind event object to pass through to object methods" ? #1

On Sunny Hirai's project home page, there is a description of a functionality 
that is not easy to understand. It says: "Ability to bind event object to pass 
through to object methods". What is it ? Is it useful ? Should we implement it ?

It could be that plugin's counterpart to the Prototype's "bindAsEventListener" 
(http://www.prototypejs.org/api/function/bindaseventlistener) function.
