DTMF tones no longer sent #393

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set up Google Voice to call Gizmo
2. Set up Telephone.app to receive Gizmo SIP calls
3. Have someone call you
4. Click Answer
5. Hear "to accept this call, press one"
6. Press 1 … nothing happens

Mac OS X 10.6.5.
This worked in 0.15 but no longer works in 0.15.2.

I am experiencing this very same problem. I can't accept incoming GV calls and
have to just call back. This was not a problem until accepting the 0.15.2
update this morning.

Additional detail:

Sending DTMF tones works with outbound calls made using just Gizmo5. I made
several calls to tollfree numbers and was able to navigate menu systems. I have
not yet tried in calls made using the GV callback method or initiation, meaning
incoming to Gizmo from GV but also outbound from GV to the end number.

So, title should be DTMF tones not sent sometimes. Whether it depends on call
direction or is somehow related to GV specifically is not yet determined.

Same problem with me and version 0.15.2 and a Gizmo SIP #. I'm using Google
Voice to initiate the call, answering the outgoing call on Telephone to an
answering service, but cannot key into the menus. This has always worked in the
past.

Can anyone attach a log with 4th debug level? Unfortunately, I don't have
Google Voice account.

I don't know how to do it, but am happy to if you can walk me through it.

1. Quit Telephone, open Terminal, and run:
defaults write com.tlphn.Telephone LogLevel -integer 4

2. Launch Telephone, reproduce the problem, quit Telephone (don't forget to
quit Telephone).
3. The log file is ~/Library/Logs/Telephone.log.

You can disable verbose logging with this Terminal command:
defaults delete com.tlphn.Telephone LogLevel

Is there any private information in the log file? I just generated it, but
wonder if I need to go through it to delete anything out.

It contains your SIP address and username. There's no plain-text password
there, only its hash. You can send the log directly to me (eofster@gmail.com)
if you don't want to upload it here.

I tried to get a log but no luck. Closed telephone, set log level 4, opened
telephone, let someone call on GV, answered and tried to accept by pressing 1
several times, closed telephone. Log file is 0 bytes.

Roll out to app store and version 1.0 (100) hasn't solved this problem.
