Whether using 5-row QWERTY (which has a single button for apostrophe and
double-quote, using shift) or the conventional keyboard (which has separate
buttons for those characters), the only key on the alternate keyboard which
"magically" returns you to the primary keyboard is the apostrophe.
I don't know if it's built in to the OS or what.
But I'd certainly like to be able to specify other characters (either by
key, or by value) which have the same behavior.
I know that if you hold the alt-kbd button an slide over to the key you
want, then let go, it shifts back automatically, but I'd still like to be
able to assign this attribute to keys.
Thanks.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?
iPhone 2G, 2.2.1
iKeyEx and 5rowqwerty at 0.1-10
