I have just added the two small fixes for #16 and #17 on top of this devel branch.

The output of hmc when one tries to use the HEX_FERM_STATE now is:

HMC: Caught standard library exception: HEX smearing is currently not supported in the Hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm.

Then it crashes. The error message is not the last thing, but I think one can find it pretty quickly.

This has not been merged, though it has been approved. Could this be merged?
