assume the loss of efficiency due to the strip knockout was accounted for by
applying the same knockout function to both real data and mc data (used for
the efficiency evaluation). Can you please confirm this is what was done (the
explanation in the note is not very clear about this point)? The strip knockout
will induce a worsening of the calorimeter energy resolution that becomes
dependent on the sector and on the track impact point. How was this
