@bjoo: to answer your question regarding M_diag_inv: since the twisted mass is pure imaginary, the isign is required as the diagonal picks up a complex conjugate during hermitian conjugation. This is also the reason why the inverse clover term in the twisted mass case can't be recast in the same form as in the Wilson case.
