This repository has gone more than 2 years now without an update, so appears not to be maintained. The container image on docker hub is likewise a couple of years out of date.

What do people use instead?

I uploaded my own docker image if you want to use it https://github.com/nvanheuverzwijn/docker-sogo It is more recent than this one although, I don't maintain it.

That seems to be substituting one unmaintained image source for another. With this repository, at least if I build it regularly from the Dockerfile I figure it's probably OK? Building on top of phusion/baseimage means the base OS will get updated over time.

If others build from this repo and notice that it breaks, can they comment here?

It depends on phusion/baseimage which also seem unmaintained. I guess this is not popular enough to gather a docker community around it :(
