Check out ctr-gcs-DacoTaco-edition:

It supports loading and saving both individual saves and full memory card
images on both official and unofficial memory cards. (In my testing, it's
worked perfectly with my official Memory Card 251 without using the system menu
workaround.) Perhaps this could be integrated into sgmgx?

I'll have to try the new version of that program. The last time I tested it, I
couldn't get it to work and the developer hadn't I clue why - even after I made
a video.

I wouldn't assume that GCN save dumps will have better compatibility with
Dolphin in the new version? (Or maybe I was just doing it wrong. :P)

The latest version of GCMM also supports protected saves, so all GCN save file
issues are now solved.
