Hard drive mounting issues upon startup. #144

4.2U
Cios Rev19
Hermes V4
Wiiflow R25
Hard drive = 1st partition FAT32 20GB
             2nd partition WBFS 911GB

Using seagate 1TB drive model #ST310005FDA2E1-RK

The first time the hard drive is plugged into the wii it will work when
loading wiiflow. If you power down the wii to completely off(red light) and
then turn the wii back on with the drive still plugged in wiiflow will not
mount the hard drive. It will not mount in HBC either. The only way to get it
working again is to pull the power to the hard drive and power the wii on
when the hard drive is unplugged and then plug the hard drive in.

My issue is that when i try to mount the hard drive using Neogamma or
Uloader then the hard drive mounts each time regardless of if it was left
plugged into the wii.

I'm wanting to know if there is any way possible for the way neogamma and
uloader mount the hard drives to be applied to wiiflow.Neogamma will load
it every single time without issue.

The only other way i could get it to work when turning the wii off and then
back on with the hard drive still plugged in without using wiiflow or
uloader is to turn on wiiconnect and turn standby connection to ON.Doing
this though the hard drive is on 24/7 so its not very good solution.

R31 fixed this issue for me so please disregard the issue.

Although to get it to work properly you must use a wiiflow wad channel of R31 or
above because even if you have the R31 or above boot.dol on your hard drive the
forwarder channel or hbc whichever you use will still not see the boot.dol
because
neither the fat32 or wbfs has been mounted.Using R31 in a channel wad works
perfectly
and runs just like a normal boot.dol would from the fat32 partition. All covers
are
still seen and all features still work.

If you need a channel wad all i did was use the forwarder channel of my
liking.In
this case the carbonik forwarder and then i took the boot.dol of R31 and used
customizemii to replace the dol file inside the carbonik forwarder with the R31
boot.dol making a wad channel of wiiflow R31 with the carbonik animations :)

I am new to this. Do you have detailed instructions on how to make this wad?
I
downloaded the customizemii but I am not sure on what to do next and do not
want to
brick my wii. R31 seems to have fixed my seagate drive problem, but I want to
be
able to start wiiflow from a channel. Any help is most appreciated

This is how i did it.

I took the official forwarder channel for wiiflow(I used the carbonik one) you
can
use whatever one you like the best.

Open CustomizeMii and use the official forwarder channel of your choice for the
source wad.Now download whatever version of wiiflow you wanting to make a
channel
of.In my case i downloaded the R31 boot.dol

Now in customizeMii go the options tab and where you see the option for NEW Dol
This is where you browse for the R31 boot.dol you downloaded.
Also on the options tab you will need to change the Title ID to something else
so the
new wad your making doesn't over ride the official forwarder channels ID.You
can make
it whatever you like its up to you.

After you change the ID at the bottom of customizeMii press the Create WAD
button and
that's it now all you have to do is install it with wad manager.

I've also attached the channel version i made for R31
WFBQ is the title ID for the channel i made.
It has been tested and works fine without any issues.
Config files still work fine from sd or usb.

*The channel will say its version R28 when checking the credits but it's really
R31*
