I really dont see any benefit to this.
And i dont get the comment about entering the password.
I am certainly not going to enter the password when somebody is looking.
Thats like you let people watch when you are at an ATM getting money.

you must be really rude to your guest if you have a living room full of people
and need to make a change to a games settings .
you ask them to leave ... lol
by using my method you could make the change in front of them and they would
not need to leave the room .

Then i have a question for you teksigns, why do you need to suddenly change the
password in a room full of people??
Where you playing games with adults and suddenly a kid came in? ;)
I change parental control before i have visitors and if i think they like to
use the Wii, that is in my opinion what it is used for.
That said, if other people like the sugestion then why not implement it, i just
dont see the point.

if you had a ton of games you would understand ...
Not change the password ..
im just wanting a more secure way of disabling parental controls infront of
people
so they can not see what you click .
reason:
i have tons of games that i do not play because i dont like them ...
but guest sometimes like them .and want to play them ...
however since i have not tested them sometimes they freeze
or simply dont work cause the video setting needs changed .
so i have to disable parental controls to get to the settings for that
game to make it work for them ....

Allright, I've deleted my former comment. I know that categories seem
different, but they are not.
When you try to accomplish hiding games for whatever reasons, you can use
categories. Check it out, before insulting me and my time. Actually, I think
you should be glad that I'm not wasting MY TIME for creating and changing this
loader so you can BRAG to your guests with it.

i dont want to hide games .. i never asked about hiding anything ....
i want to be able to make changes to games settings in front of people
without giving away my password.

i have no idea where you came up with i want to hide games ...
i never want to hide anything ... i just want to keep them from
deleting my games so i use parental controls ...
and i dont play those games so when company test them
if they do not work . i need to make changes to the setting for that game .
therefore need a more secure way of typing the password ...
what i proposed is a very simple fix for you ....if you would just take the
time
to try to understand where im coming from ..

Actually, it took me 15 minutes. It's gonna be in the next release, or in my
next commit (somewhere around 191)

Oh, yeah, before I forget. It will only work when you DON'T point at the
screen. If you point at the screen, normal behavior will be used. And the HOME
button cannot be part of the code. Mapping is as follows:
Up 0
Left 1
Right 2
Down 3
Minus 4
Plus 5
A 6
B 7
1 8
2 9

damn dude read a little. You're lucky r-win felt like felt like being nice
because with your attitude I wouldnt have done shit for you.
"what i proposed is a very simple fix for you".. damn who are you to decide
what is easy or not or when or how we should do something? if it was so easy
why did you not do it yourself? we have bigger projects going on and will NOT
accept any more feature requests for stupid little things like this right now.
So you should be elated that you got your way even. You are not a "customer"
and we dont have to cater to your needs.
I just dont see how hard it is to try the dol.. Why not ask in the irc?
obviously you were there if you got on the ftp. the BUG tracker is for BUGS.
thx.

im sorry you guys feel that way ...
im not beiing demanding in any way ...
if you are taking something out of context ... im sorry ...
i was just asking a question .
if this is not a request area .. im also sorry as there is a dropdown
for requesting features ...i was refered her to ask for any features ..
im only trying to follow instructions ....
many people telling different things ....
i will not post in this thread again .....
im sorry i upset you somehow ......

Posting the feature enhancement here was the right thing to do. This is not a
bug tracker only, but you can also do feature requests here. Teksign, if there
are other helpfull enhancements, don't hesitate to post them here.
The reason I added this eventually, was because I can see the value in the
request. Also, I like people who can support their case pretty decent :)
Actually, when testing this feature I pressed some keys, thereby locking myself
out of wiiflow. Well done...
However, Miigotu is right about the no new features thing. We will not accept
any new features anymore, until after our next release. But that doesn't mean
you don't have to post here anymore!
Now, I suggest we all leave it at this point, and close this issue thread.
