Animate protein exploding from center #8

It'd be a nice effect if the protein appeared to expand rapidly to its first checkpoint position. This could occur at a linear rate, or in an exponentially decreasing one. This would have the added benefit of being able to have something on the screen if the topology is available, but before the first checkpoint comes in.
