"SteamBot is not available to trade. More information will be shown to SteamBot if they invite you to trade." #683

People can't seem to invite him to trade. I traded a bunch of keys - everything was working fine until yesterday when this started to happen. I didn't change anything, although all my keys were sold and now I only have metal in the inventory. Could this be what's causing it? I logged into the bot's account and I can trade normally, it's only when I'm running the bot.

Thanks in advance.

Steam Guard I think

Bottswana commented 9 years ago

Your bots account may be trade suspended or banned, or you have triggered steamguard somehow.

The error that the account is unavailable to trade means steam is blocking the trade, and is not an error with the bot.

Additionally, you should post these types of questions in our subreddit /r/steambot instead of here, which is reserved for issue reporting and bugs.

Thanks. On 29 Dec 2014 07:24, "Bernas24" notifications@github.com wrote:

Did you not read what I just said? The account hasn't been suspended. I can trade fine if I'm logged in the account, it's only when I'm running the bot.

SephirothSG commented 9 years ago

As Bottswana said, this is not a bug with SteamBot (Personally my bots are running fine as they always have).

My best guess is you've triggered steamguard (as bottswana said), logging in yourself via your steam client on a computer you've logged in from before wont prove/disprove this. If your account hasn't been trade banned then this is the only logical reason you'd be receiving that message. Wait it out or ask over at /r/steambot as this isn't a bug.

427 #527

SteamGuard kicked in as already pointed by others.

And in future, if you actually want us to help you, keep your tone civil. Asking me if I've read it is not helpful, especially when the info provided was correct.
