IT'S POSSIBLE, go steam mobile and try to login, but don't use auth code, instead touch "please help, i no longer have access...", and in next page, click on "use this device..." and follow this way...

You can also import your authenticator from sda to some third-party android authenticators, such as ICE or Aegis. This way you will be able to use authenticator both at PC and on your phone.

I recently lost my mafiles and unfortunately can't replicate what I was able to do for like 5-6 years. I have steam guard both on my phone and SDA and they both worked. So if I was logging in somewhere I could use the code from my app, but if I was at home and needed to confirm 40 market listings, SDA did it for me.

I setup SDA again (disabled Steam guard on phone and added account to SDA), there was obviously no option to reenable 2FA on the phone. I restored my backup of app data with titanium backup and now I do have the codes in the app but they don't actually work :\

Why was it working before?

@McNippleson for 2fa to work in two different apps you need them to be identical. If you disable authenticator in steam mobile app - then old authenticator is invalidated, so restore from backup won't help. If you want to use official steam app on mobile, there is only one way to do it: setup new authenticator in steam app on mobile, then get mafiles from it (in most cases this requires root), and import those files to SDA. This way it will work in both steam app and SDA. Another option is to use third-party software on mobile, as I've said above.

Thanks. The ADB tutorials seem incomplete(?) so I just took the mafile from steam app folder on the phone and imported in into the SDA - but the codes are different and SDA codes don't let me log in...

edit: nevermind, have to manually edit it first
