The italic font mixes oblique and cursive (in the Russian sense of “курсив”) forms. Neither is wrong, but it is weird to mix them in the same font. For example, here is ⟨гт⟩.

and italic т
will work better in humanistic, more dynamic typefaces. The origin of JetBrains Mono is geometric. This will not work well.
I will tune the leg of an Л
, л
a bit more. But it will not be drastic changes like in your screenshot.
The Russian True italics forms creating too much contrast compared to upright.
@dscorbett Yes you right. There is a mix of constructions. But i still think it creates a good (not drastic) contrast between the Upright and Italic and enhances the rhythmical and modular flow of the line.
I like your font because the Russian letter "З" is different from the number 3. But russian letter "Л" is very similar to "П". Tilt the first bar in letter "Л".
Also, russian italic letter "т" should be different from normal "т".
