Variable NL version #496

Would it be possible to get a NL version of the variable font? Currently, only the ligatured version exists. When embedding in an app, 2 or 4 files are much easier (and smaller) to deal with than 16 or 32.

JetBrains Mono is a font with ligatures. The NL version provided for IDE in which there is no ability to turn off the ligatures and do not support OpenType features. If your app have the ability to turn on/off the ligatures or any other OpenType features you can use only 2 variable fonts (Upright & Italic).

The Variable font technology is still fairly young compared to OpenType. If certain development environment is not supporting the OpenType features than it most likely won't support the Variable fonts.

Quite a few promiment apps do not have this capacity like Eclipse. But this is known to owners cos of #19
