Alternative glyph for `g` via cv03 (in v2.300) could be improved #564

Take a look at the letter g in the screenshot: image Looks inconsistent with other characters. My suggestion is that the alternative g glyph could get some inspiration from IBM Plex Mono. image

Hi @CodeCrazy-ywt I tried this construction in the process, but I still think the current construction is better fitting in the JetBrains Mono aesthetics and reinforces the horizontal flow of the i j t & alt r.

The pronounced hook in IBM Plex is rhymed with a foot element in the a whitch is not present in JetBrains Mono. Without this support, the construction of the g you suggest looks strange and alienated in the line.
