Here's a comparison of DejaVu Sans Mono vs JBM

I think the first option is preferable

I would also check the version of the font and that there actually is italic font. The screenshot looks like fake italic

However, in True italic, the | symbol is still tilted image

Yes, | shoulden't be italicised. The update will come in the next push.

They all shoulden't be italicised. Thank you!

None of these ┌ ┬ ┐│├ ┤┼└ ┴ ┘ are italicised in the font.

In the screenshot the bat file and the table is a comment that appears in slanted font in the editor (Sublime Text). Other monospaced fonts do not have this problem. This behavior is reproduced in various editors and ide.
