@mattgorski Wondering if you can add all the all Video4Linux DVB firmware and drivers from LibreELEC (fork of OpenELEC) embedded Linux distrobution to your image for Nvidia Shield TV?

http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/Supported_TV_Tuners http://openelec.tv/forum/71-pvr-live-tv/70210-list-of-supported-tuners-tell-me-if-yours-works

DVB firmware: https://github.com/LibreELEC/dvb-firmware https://github.com/OpenELEC/dvb-firmware

Linux kernel: https://github.com/LibreELEC/linux-amlogic https://github.com/OpenELEC/linux

Those are all open source Video4Linux DVB firmware to add support for many more USB TV-tuners than was added before.

LibreELEC is an embedded Linux distro that shipped as JeOS (Just enough OS) toi use Kodi as appliance.

Good thing is that the LibreELEC (and OpenELEC) project developers have already tested all of those.

LibreELEC ship with pre-packaged versions of Tvheadend and VDR so user only need to enable in Kodi.

I think that LibreELEC is the project that keep its firmware and drivers most up-to-date so probably enough to just get the DVB/driver/kernel code from them:

Please note that even though LibreELEC is a fork of OpenELEC, LibreELEC code is better maintained.
