Force b mode on wifi client #209

Can I suggest that Reaver automatically forces the users wireless client into b
mode ? This significantly increases range and is fast enough for a Reaver test.

I believe the command is iwconfig 5.5M

If anyone knows how to force a windows client to use only b mode I would be
very grateful to learn how it is done.

Obviously using a (b only) dongle or setting the AP to b exclusively will work
but I was hoping to be able to just set my usb dongle on my laptop to be able
to do it. Alpha AWUS036NH to be precise.

Thanks.

:o)

This can be done under windows with some adapters.
Instructions for Windows 7:
Go to Network and Sharing Center;
Click on "Change adapter settings" on the left side of the window;
Right-Click on your wireless interface and select "Properties";
Click on the "Configure" button;
Check under "Advanced" tab for the desired option.

Hope this helps.

miguelfa, seeing how reaver is a linux-only application/tool any sort of
instruction for windows is useless.
