Is there any way to setup strategies by type of candlestick. i.e Bullish 
engulfing at end of a downtrend?

Yes but as with any strategy you need to define and code the identification of 
the Bullish Engulfing bar. Also the app is not a scanner you define what stocks 
you want to trade. IB TWS only allows a maximum of 60 concurrent data feeds. 
i.e you could define a universe of 60 stock and then code a strategy that looks 
for Bullish Engulfing bars then trades those.

Is there a forum you would prefer I post in or is this ok? What progamming 
language would I use to code the identification into this system?
