Texture I threw together a while ago. Needs work, but could be a cool new tree type for some cold biomes to break up the fact that all cold biomes have spruce wood exclusively.

More kinds of wooden items/blocks may come later, but as of now all that's left is the boreal boat. After that the vanilla set of blocks is complete for boreal
