You had a file called features_from_papers.md in the top-level directory for this repo where you wanted to "discuss features that come from previous papers prior to Ev's Nature Methods paper".
It's true it's not arranged in a tabular format for easy categorization, but perhaps when the features metadata are stored in a database, one of the fields can be the originating paper.

features_from_papers.mdin the top-level directory for this repo where you wanted to "discuss features that come from previous papers prior to Ev's Nature Methods paper".I've tried to include references to any previous papers cited while adapting Ev's supplemental material into the features documentation. For example, the three Sternberg Lab posture features: Amplitude, Wavelength, and Track Length.
