Classic Controller Button Mapping on Cheat Menu #377

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load a rom
2.Select "Cheat" from the main menu
3.Press + or - buttons on Classic Controller

What is the expected output? Enable/Disable selected cheat.

What do you see instead? Buttons are unresponsive, corresponding buttons on the
connected Wii remote are mapped to this function instead. L and R buttons
appear to be mapped on Classic Controller to carry out this function. Can this
function be mapped to the Classic Controller buttons in a future revision
please? I managed to delete some cheats from the pat file by pressing the wrong
buttons.

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)? Latest
official version 1.7.4.

Please provide any additional information below (Emulator settings, Console
setting,...) Classic Controller selected as input method emulating Megadrive 6
button pad. Working fine for all games and GUI navigation.

Indeed, Classic Controller +/- buttons are not mapped in GUI.
On the Wiimote, those buttons are mapped as left/right trigger keys, normally
used for fast ROM browsing only but I forgot about this use case in cheat menu.

Thanks for taking a look at it, would it be possible to add a confirmation pop
up to prevent deleting cheats by accident?

Delete selected cheat? Yes No (default)
