Using a Playstation 2 to controller as classic controller with an adapter
(http://www.suntekstore.com/playstation-2-ps-2-controller-to-gamecube-wii-adapte

doesn't work.
Can't assign the buttons it doesn't recognize the controller.

What version of the emulator are you using?
1.3.1

In Snes9x GX + FCE Ultra GX the controller works.

Controller issues are not related to the emulator itself but to the libraries
(libogc,mibwiiuse) which were used to compile the code.
Recompiling the code with the last libogc should fix it. See the Wiki for more 
details.
