Crash while looking for games

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Browsing for games.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the
issue on the Snes9x forum.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?

Wii (4.2) using the 4.15.c4 version.

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?

Please provide any additional information below.

Im using a external hard drive to run the games. It crashes while "browsing" 
for the games so I wonder if its related to the searching process.

Well, for one thing, you're using a VERY outdated version. 4.2.4 is stable, 
you're using a modified version (c4). This has the new core and the crackling 
sound is gone.

Thanks guys. I see now I was far from being in shape. I will go for the 
official release and the last version now. I was caught up with the "cover mod" 
thing.
