no Orion inverter data uploaded to pvoutput #101

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. 2kw orion inverter and currentcost meter
2. Inverter on com4 currentcost on com3
3. inverter suspend set

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected inverter and currentcost data to be uploaded to pvoutput. currentcost
data is uploaded ok but no data from inverter

What version of the product are you using (e.g. 1.4.1.9 32bit)?
1.6.0.6

What Operating system (XP, Vista, Windows 7 - 32bit or 64bit)?
Windows7 32bit

Which Database Type (MySQL, MS Access, SQLite - If Access, 32bit or 64bit)?
SQLite

Are there any unusual messages in PVService.log? (upload a copy to this
issue if there are)
Appears to have issues with com4 when closing down

Please upload your settings.xml file with the issue. This answers many
questions I would otherwise need to ask.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have looked at the pvhistory.s3db database and the data from the inverter is
being stored there ok but nothing is being sent to pvoutput. I have noticed
that two fields in the cms data table are not getting any data these are
Energytoday and impedanceAC . Also no data being stored in the OutputHistory
table.

Can you please upload the pvhistory.s3db database file

I expect I will need to provide a diagnostic version to identify the cause.

As you noted, your inverter is reporting EnergyTotal but not EnergyToday.

When present, EnergyToday has higher precision that EnergyTotal. I chose to use
EnergyToday as it allows calculation of energy output at 5 minute resolution.
EnergyToday only shows a change at each 0.1kwh change. It can take a long time
to see this change in low light conditions. This will produce a poor graph at
pvoutput unless some interpolation ia added.

pvoutput does not produce a continuous timeline. Discontinuities in the
timeline cause the timeline to be shortened. I will need to find a way to
generate the missing values by interpolation.

Try 1.7.0.0

It should produce a step graph upload. (if pvoutput accepts the high power
levels at the step points). I will look at adding interpolation soon.

When you try 1.7.0.2

Check Trace, Meter Trace and Meter Message on the Log Files tab, Save settings

This will produce a large log file in a short time.

Upload the PVService.log file and the settings.xml file

The log file above was not created with the trace setting I requested turned
on. When these settings are made the log files are very large with detail of
the messages passing to and from the devices you are using.

Please:

Check (tick) Trace, Meter Trace and Meter Message on the Log Files tab
Save settings

After about 20 minutes, upload the resultant log file.

Well 1.7.0.4 didn't work but at least I can see the fault. 1.7.0.5 seems to do
the right thing using my CMS Emulator.
